BANGKOK, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- The wife of a Thai fighter jet pilot was reported to commit suicide by jumping off the high building of a Bangkok hotel on Saturday, police said.
The 46-year-old woman, identified as Chandrawan Thammawichai, the spouse of Thai Air Force's Capt. Chakkrit Thammawichai, was found dead on the ground after she jumped off the ninth-story parking lot of the hotel on Ratchadaphisek road in the Thai capital, according to the police.
On the corridor of the hotel's parking lot from where the woman jumped off lay a "farewell" letter hand-written by the deceased, the police said.
The police are to investigate a possible motive which may have prompted the fighter pilot's spouse to commit suicide.
The pilot is considerably well-known among the rank and file of the Thai Air Force and used to fly a JAS 39 Gripen fighter jet based in Surat Thani province in southern Thailand.?
