RIYADH, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and secretary general of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdullatif Al-Zayani reviewed the topics of the Gulf Summit on Sunday.
The king received the secretary-general and reviewed the topics of the 40th session of the GCC Supreme Council and the ways to enhance the GCC joint action, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The secretary-general announced earlier that the summit will be held in Saudi capital Riyadh on Dec. 10 with the attendance of Gulf leaders.
Besides reviewing regional and international policies, Gulf leaders will discuss topics that could reinforce cooperation and integration in terms of politics, defence, security and other areas, he said.
The ministerial preparatory meeting for the summit will be held in Riyadh on Dec. 9.
