Bamboo weaving craftswoman Yang Changqin strips bamboos at the training center established by her in Minzu Village of Datong Township in Chishui, southwest China's Guizhou Province, Nov. 11, 2019. Yang Changqin, a post-90's girl of the Miao ethnic group, is an inheritor of Guizhou provincial intangible cultural heritage -- Chishui bamboo weaving. Chishui, with 88,533 hectares of bamboo at present, has been developing bamboo industries to increase villagers' income. Yang established a bamboo-weaving training center in Minzu Village of Datong Township in Chishui in a bid to help the villagers learn bamboo weaving skills. "After 20 procedures including stripping, dyeing and weaving," said Yang. "The products can be worth hundreds or thousands of yuan." Yang also sells bamboo-weaving products through online platforms. Local villagers benefit from Yang's experience sharing as they engage in bamboo weaving industry. (Xinhua/Yang Wenbin)
