PARIS, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- A police operation is underway at an archaeology museum in southern France where at least one man, shouting threats, is holed up, news channel BFMTV reported Wednesday.
Officers surrounded the archaeology museum in the Mediterranean town of Saint-Raphael, where the man, possibly with an accomplice, broke in overnight, according to BFMTV.
The report said it was unclear if the man, who refused to communicate with police, was armed or if there were any hostages.
People are advised to avoid the area if possible.
