HEFEI, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- Tibetan saffron, mineral water, cosmetics and clothing are making the Tibetan pavilion eye-catching at the ongoing World Manufacturing Convention 2019 in Hefei, capital of eastern China's Anhui Province.
"We're here to introduce our products with characteristics from the snow-covered plateau to domestic and foreign consumers," said Lozang Jinpa, chairman of Tibet Lhoka Denor Agricultural and Forestry Industrial Development Company.
The four-day event held annually brought together more than 4,000 representatives from over 60 countries and regions, including senior managers from global Fortune 500 companies, as it opened Friday.
"We've sold products worth 16,000 yuan (about 2,260 U.S. dollars) so far at the convention. The best-selling products are masks, shampoos and lipsticks made from Tibetan herbs," he added.
Lozang's company, established in 2013 in Shannan City of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, has helped increase local employment, relieving 190 local households out of poverty. The anti-poverty project has already shifted to promoting local manufacturing development and promoting Tibetan culture.
