HANGZHOU, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- An exhibition highlighting the fashion aesthetics of French fashion designer Christian Dior is held in Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province.
More than 100 items all dating back between 1947 and 1957, including printed publications, photos and videos, haute couture, accessories, fabrics, embroidery samples and design manuscripts, are on display at the exhibition, known as "Dior by Dior."
The exhibition is co-organized by the China National Silk Museum and the Royal Ontario Museum of Canada. Most of the exhibits came from the Royal Ontario Museum, and the others were lent from seven other institutions.
The Royal Ontario Museum held the "Christian Dior Exhibition" in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the haute couture House of Dior in 2017.
"We introduced the exhibition to add fashion appeal to our museum," said Zhao Feng, curator of the China National Silk Museum, the first national museum dedicated to silk in China.
The exhibition will run until Jan. 1, 2020.
