SHANGHAI, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- The first batch of Kenyan frozen avocados arrived in Shanghai Pudong International Airport on Thursday, according to customs authority of Shanghai.
The arrival of the avocados, weighing 200 kg, makes Kenya the fifth country to export avocados to China, after Chile, Mexico, Peru and New Zealand.
China and Kenya in April signed a quarantine agreement that allows the African country to export avocados to China, a rapidly growing market for the fruit.
