HOHHOT, July 6 (Xinhua) -- 2019 Hohhot International X-Sports Pro Games opened on Saturday in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region's capital Hohhot, with the participation of nearly 100 athletes from 17 countries and regions.
During the 2-day event, athletes will compete against each other in extreme sports like skateboarding, BMX freestyle and aggressive inline skating.
BMX is set to be one of the most popular events at the games.
"BMX means pushing the envelope. It feels cool when I finish a difficult action, because I win myself," said British cyclist Clark Jack, who won the first place in the preliminary race of BMX freestyle.
Nearly 1000 spectators watched the game. The organizing committee held some events for the youth to get close-up with the extreme sports athletes.
