SANAA, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Yemen's Houthi rebels said they launched drone strikes on Saudi airports of Abha and Jizan on Thursday night, Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported.
The attacks targeted "military targets" in both airports and caused a suspension of the air traffic, the television said, citing a statement by the group's military spokesman.
Saudi Arabia has yet to confirm the attacks on its airports.
Abha airport has been targeted by Houthis several times. In an attack last month, a Syrian expatriate was killed, and seven others were injured.
Saudi Arabia has been leading a coalition to fight in Yemen for more than four years in support of the exiled Yemeni government against the Iran-allied Houthis.
