BEIJING, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Chinese authorities Tuesday issued alerts for rainstorms, mountain torrents and geological disasters as heavy rain will continue to hit southern part of the country over the next three days.
Heavy rain is expected to hit parts of provinces of Guizhou, Guangdong and Hunan from Tuesday to Wednesday, according to the National Meteorological Center.
Mountain torrents and geological disasters are likely to occur in some parts of provinces of Guangdong and Guizhou as well as Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Efforts of local governments are needed to prevent and control disasters such as mountain torrents and mudslides by carrying out disaster monitoring. Enditem
