Wu You has been practising traditional wrestling of Dong ethnic group coached by his father Wu Fagui, a former champion of traditional wrestling competition. In April, he competed as the youngest player of Sizhai Village in the annual Wrestling Festival. Wu You's father Wu Fagui was also coached by his father Wu Zhiji when he was a child. Like Wu's family, the traditional wrestling of Dong ethnic group has been passed from generation to generation for nearly 400 years.
