RIO DE JANEIRO, May 12 (Xinhua) -- Winger Lucas Moura said Sunday that he hopes his hat-trick that fired Tottenham Hotspur into the Champions League final will earn him a recall to Brazil's squad for the Copa America.

Moura became only fifth player to score three goals in a semifinal of Europe's top club competition as the English outfit recovered from a three-goal deficit to defeat Ajax in Amsterdam last Wednesday.

The result means Tottenham will meet Liverpool in the final in Madrid on June 1, but for Moura there could be an additional prize.

"I can say that I'm ready," the former Paris Saint-Germain and Sao Paulo attacker told Brazil's TV Globo. "I'm doing my best and being in the national team has always been one of my biggest goals."

Moura has been capped 35 times for Brazil since his international debut in 2011. But most of his appearances, including the most recent one against Saudi Arabia last October, have been as a substitute.

The 26-year-old said he is eagerly awaiting next Friday, when Selecao boss Tite will name his squad for the Copa America, to be played in Brazil from June 14 to July 7.

"I will be hoping for good news," Moura said. "I think it (the Champions League semifinal) was a good opportunity to show that I have what it takes to be called up."

"We all know the importance of it in world football. But I don't know if it will be enough to be named in the national team."

Brazil have been drawn in Group A of the continental tournament alongside Venezuela, Bolivia and Peru.
