BEIJING, May. 3 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Badminton Association (CBA) released the list of 20 players for the upcoming 2019 Sudirman Cup championship with Chen long and Chen Yufei respectively leading the men's single and women's singles on Friday.
Eight players of the list would be making their debut for Sudirman Cup.
Players in Chinese squad for Sudirman Cup are Chen long, Shi Yuqi and Lu Guangzu in men's singles, and Chen Yufei, He Bingjiao and new star Han yue in women's singles. It is the first time that Lu Guangzu and Han Yue participated in Sudirman Cup.
In men's doubles, China has Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen as a leading pairing. And another pairing, Han chengkai/Zhou haodong, will make their Sudirman Cup debut. And He Jiting, who had nice performance in men's doubles and mixed doubles in badminton Asia Championships, is also in the list of Sudirman Cup for the first time.
Two women's doubles pairs are Chen qingchen/Jia yifan and Du yue/Li yinhui. And Zheng yu will also make her debut for Sudirman Cup.
As for the mixed doubles, China will send two top pairings, Zheng siwei/Huang yaqiong as world No. 1, and Wang yilv/Huang Dongping, world No. 2.
Sudirman Cup will be held from May 19-26 in Nanning, the capital city of South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. And China will compete in a group with with Malaysia and India.
