ACCRA, April 6 (Xinhua) -- An art exhibition displaying traditional Chinese paintings and Ghanaian art works was held on Saturday, attracting the audience of both countries.

The exhibition, themed on Silk Road Language of Art, has put on dozens of exquisite paintings completed by China's top-notch painters and some fine oil paintings by renowned Ghanaian artists.

Staring at a traditional Chinese painting of two mandarin ducks playing in the water, Prisalla, a student from the Confucius Institute of the University of Ghana, said the fine drawing has captured her heart.

"I like these paintings, and I want to learn more about traditional Chinese culture, "said she.

Rebecca Akufo-Addo, the first lady of Ghana, reaffirmed the country's support for the Belt and Road Initiative at the opening ceremony, saying that she believes the initiative will definitely benefit the two countries and their peoples.

Stressing art serves as a bridge for enhancing mutual trust and friendship among nations, Wang Shiting, Chinese ambassador to Ghana, said the Chinese embassy is ready to work with Ghanaian friends and spare no efforts in promoting cultural exchanges.
