DUBAI, March 13 (Xinhua) -- The Canton Fair-Dubai Road Show 2019 has been held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), aiming to introduce the Canton Fair as an international trade platform to UAE's enterprises and promote closer cooperation between China and the UAE.
Canton Fair, with a history of 62 years, serves as an international trade platform which can help Chinese and UAE's companies find more cooperation opportunities, and also boost the trade relations between the two countries.
Each year, Canton Fair is attended by nearly 200,000 international buyers from more than 200 countries and regions, according to Chinese data.
Jin Lei, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Consulate General of China in Dubai, hailed the partnership between China and the UAE under the Belt and Road Initiative, adding that the Canton Fair welcomes buyers from the UAE and will be the "fast track" for local companies to explore Chinese market.
Mohammed Ali Al Kamali, deputy CEO of Dubai Exports, said that China has been Dubai's largest trading partner since 2014 and Dubai is a global trade center along the new Silk Road.
There are a lot of cooperation opportunities between the UAE and China, especially as the World Expo 2020 will be held soon in Dubai, he added.
More than 50 entrepreneurs from various industries and media attended the road show.
