TEHRAN, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Persepolis soccer team ended in a 1-1 draw with Uzbekistan's Pakhtakor team in a Group D match at the AFC Champions League at Tehran's Azadi Stadium on Tuesday.
Pakhtakor took the lead in the 5th minute of the match when a header by Marat Bikmaev hit the post and reflected into the net.
Perspolis levelled the game in the 25th minute when its Croat striker Mario Budimir scored with a low drive.
Persepolis will travel to Doha to meet Al Sadd next Tuesday, while Pakhtakor will encounter Saudi Arabia's Al Ahli in the next group match.
