WINDHOEK, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- The world soccer governing body FIFA announced on Friday a "normalization committee" that will be heading the Namibia Football Association (NFA).

According to the NFA website, the committee was announced by Veron

Mosengo-Omba, Director of Member Associations and Development in

Africa and the Caribbeans, and it will begin its four-month stint immediately.

The normalization committee is tasked with running the NFA's daily

affairs; ensuring that the members of the NFA organize and conduct the relevant elections; and once elections have been held at member level, to

organize and conduct elections of a new NFA Executive Committee.

Last October, the NFA executive committee impeached then president

Frans Mbidi over various allegations of misconduct, placing vice

president Naftal Ngalangi at the helm.

In November, however, FIFA refused to recognize the sacking of Mbidi.
