VIENNA, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) on Thursday maintained its forecast for the world oil demand growth in 2019 of 1.29 million barrels a day, in line with its last projection.
As a result, the total world oil demand is projected to reach 100.08 million barrels a day for 2019, OPEC said in its latest monthly report.
India, China and America are the main contributors to the oil demand growth, it said.
The global economic growth forecast remains unchanged at 3.7 percent for 2018 and 3.5 percent for 2019; nevertheless, ongoing trade tensions, monetary tightening and geopolitical challenges could pose potential risks to the growth, it said.
