Wang Sanyi patrols for migrant-bird protection in Caizi Lake wetland, Anqing, in east China's Anhui Province, Dec. 22, 2018. Wang Sanyi, 69, founded the Caizi Lake wetland ecological protection association with more than 300 members in 2010. Some villagers who used to be hunters now join the association, becoming volunteers to protect migrant birds. With the help of the association, the ecological environment of Caizi Lake wetland has been improved in recent years. Thanks to the efforts of protection, more and more migrant birds are seen here overwintering. "Protecting wetland and migrant birds always gladden my heart," said Wang Sanyi. "I hope to see more volunteers participate in the protection efforts." (Xinhua/Zhang Duan)
