Putin says Syrian constitutional committee near completion

MOSCOW, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- The establishment of the Syrian constitutional committee is reaching the final phase and the actual political settlement in the country could start as early as next year, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday.
