PARIS, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- The French Professional Football League (LFP) announced on Thursday that two more 18th round matches this weekend will be postponed for secutiry reasons, bringing the tally of already postponed matches to five.
The LFP said that at the request of relevant areas to host the match, it decided to postpone matches of Marseille vs Bordeaux and Guingamp vs Rennes scheduled Sunday, due to "an assignment of local police for other missions".
The French league's governing body had already postponed three matches on Wednesday. The duel between Caen and Toulouse has been rescheduled next Tuesday.
It's the second straight week that French league matches are put off due to security concern after six 17th round matches last weekend were rescheduled on January 15 or 16, 2019.
