BEIRUT, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- The spokesperson for the United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL) Andrea Tenenti announced Saturday that he was informed by the Israeli army about the presence of another tunnel to the south of the Blue Line, local media reported.
According to the National News Agency, Tenenti said that a team from the UNIFIL will soon visit the area to verify Israel's claims.
Israel announced Tuesday that the Israeli military had detected tunnels crossing from Lebanon into northern Israel and the country has started an operation to destroy them.
Israeli military announced Thursday that another such underground tunnel had been uncovered on the Lebanese border.
It added that its operation would be inside Israel, and would not cross the borders.
