South African racer wins 6th lap of Tour de Singkarak in West Sumatra, Indonesia

JAKARTA, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- South African cyclist Clint Hendricks crossed the finish line of the sixth stage of the Tour de Singkarak cycling race in Indonesia's West Sumatra province with the best time on Friday.

Hendricks from Bike AID Team of Germany needed 2:33:42 seconds to cross the finish line.

"This victory will motivate me to win the rest of the two stages," said Hendriks.

The competition among Hendricks and two other cyclists who crossed the line soon after him was tough.

Edgar Nieto from Ningxia Sport Lotterry Livall Cycling posed the second position and was followed by Bolor Erdene Enkhtaivan who is also from his team.

The racers started the sixth stage at Lapangan Merdeka of Solok town and finished at Ngalau Indah in Payakumbuh town.

The racers competed in a route with a distance of 105 kilometers.

A total of 15 teams from 26 nations and regions are vying in the race which started on November 4 and ends on November 11 with a total distance of 1,267 kilometers.
