BEIRUT, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Toufic Dabbousi, head of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, is looking forward to cooperating with China on some key economic projects in Tripoli in northern Lebanon, local media reported Friday.
Dabbousi presented Friday a few economic projects to the Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon Wang Kejian, seeking to benefit from the Chinese expertise in different fields.
"We would like to cooperate with China on key projects to be implemented in Tripoli, in order to benefit from the Chinese expertise and create hundreds of job opportunities for the Lebanese laborforce," said Dabbousi.
"We are planning to expand Tripoli's Port and other public facilities including the Rashid Karami exhibition center and Rene Mouawad Airport as well as other projects that bring benefit to the public," he said.
Meanwhile, Wang said that these projects are very important and they need the expertise of professional people.
"We have a lot of good expertise in China and the Tripoli's Chamber of Commerce is invited to meet with these professional people and discuss ways of cooperation for the near future," he said.
