KAMPALA, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Uganda Cranes head coach Sebastien Desabre named the squad that will face Lesotho on Oct. 13 in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier in Kampala.
The Cranes lead Group L in the AFCON qualifiers after their 1-0 win over Cape Verde and goalless draw against Tanzania last month.
"We have trained for the last three days and picked the final 24 from the bigger group that was invited earlier. We shall remain with these few and prepare well ahead of the match," Desabre said on Monday.
"This is a very crucial match for us after we drew against Tanzania last month," added the head coach whose team leads the group with four points.
After hosting Lesotho, the Cranes will travel to face the same side on Oct. 16 in Maseru.
The Uganda squad includes Denis Onyango, Jamal Salim, Charles Lukwago, Murushid Juuko, Isaac Isinde, Timothy Awanyi, Denis Iguma, Nicholas Wadada, and Godfrey Walusimbi.
The other members include Isaac Muleme, Joseph Ochaya, Hassan Wasswa, Ibrahim Saddam Juma, Taddeo Lwanga, Moses Waisswa, Khalid Aucho, Allan Kateregga, Farouk Miya, Emmanuel Okwi, Edris Lubega, Derrick Nsibambi, Milton Karisa, Allan Kyambadde and Patrick Kaddu. Enditem
