PALEMBANG, Indonesia, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Chinese women's beach volleyball players Wang Fan/Xia Xinyi will take on Japanese players in the Asian Games final match after they trashed Indonesian contenders in a semifinal match held here on Sunday.
Went through three games, Wang Fan/Xia Xinyi managed to stop Indonesian players Juliana Dhita/Putu Dini Jastuka Utami in scores of 21-10, 17-21, 15-9 in Jakabaring Sport Center (JSC) beach volleyball court here.
The Chinese pairing would vie against Japanese players Ishii Miki/Megumi Murasaki who defeated their rivals from Kazakhstan Irina Tsimbalova/Tatyana Mashkova in the other semifinal match held earlier in the same place.
"50-50. We will make it difficult for them because we were strong in the last two matches. We will give them a lot more pressures to win the match," Wang Fan told a press conference on the sidelines of the court, conveying her team's chance and strategies in the final match.
In men's beach volleyball competitions, Indonesian pairing would play against Qatari players after they trashed their opponents earlier in the day.
The Indonesian pairing Ade Chandra Rachmawan/Ashyifa Mohammad defeated their compatriots Gilang Ramadan/Danangsyah Yudistira Pribadi to seize the final berth.
Meanwhile, the Qatari players Jako Ahmed/Cherif Samba seized the the other final berth after defeated Chinese pairing Gao Peng/Li Yang.
The women's beach volleyball final match was scheduled on Monday afternoon, while the men's final will be held on Tuesday.
