RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid-bound teenager Rodrygo struck his 10th goal of the year as Santos beat Sport Recife 3-0 in Brazil's Serie A championship on Saturday.
The 17-year-old, who has already secured a six-year contract with the European champions that will take effect next June, scored shortly after his 73rd-minute introduction by tapping in from close range after a Derlis Gonzalez cross.
It was the Brazil under-20 striker's first goal since he netted a hat-trick against Vitoria on June 3.
Eduardo Sasha opened the scoring in the second minute at the Vila Belmiro stadium in Santos after a smart layoff from Costa Rica international midfielder Bryan Ruiz.
Sport were reduced to 10 minute just before the hour mark when forward Rogerio was shown a second yellow card for a bad foul on Gonzalez.
Victor Ferraz completed the rout for Santos with an angled 20-yard shot into the bottom corner six minutes from time.
The result lifted Santos to 12th in the 20-team Brazilian Serie A standings with 21 points from 19 matches while Sport slid to 15th, one point further back.
In Saturday's only other match, Gremio won 1-0 at Corinthians thanks to a second-half strike from forward Everton.
