TORONTO, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Canada's main stock markets closed lower Friday due to weakness in technology stocks.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's benchmark Standard & Poor's/TSX Composite Index fell 61.78 points, or 0.38 percent to end the day at 16,393.95 points.
The Canadian dollar edged up little to 0.76.56 U.S. dollar.
Aurora Cannabis Inc. declined 1.90 percent to 6.98 Canadian dollars.
Yamana Gold Inc. surged 9.09 percent to 3.96 Canadian dollars.
Bombardier Inc.lost 0.41 per cent to 4.82 Canadian dollars.
Nevsun Resources Ltd. added 0.21 percent to 4.85 Canadian dollars.
New Gold Inc. dropped 13.23 percent to 1.64 Canadian dollars.
Cenovus Energy Inc. fell 3.14 percent to 12.97 Canadian dollars.
