BRATISLAVA, July 18 (Xinhua) -- "ShowCase -- Hev Het Fest" music festival kicked off on Tuesday in Kosice, eastern Slovakia, attracting international jazz professionals.
This year marks the festival's seventh anniversary, with 12 music concerts taking place altogether.
The festival's international headliners include French trumpeter Erik Truffaz with the KK Pearls band of Polish pianist and composer Krzystof Kobylinsky, as well as Norwegian trumpeter Arve Henriksen alongside guitarist David Kollar from the Eastern Slovakia.
"In the past, regular visitors to our festival were used to us putting on concerts throughout the whole summer. This year, they will, along with us, step out of their comfort zone, and we'll offer everything at once," said president of record company Hevhetia Jan Sudzina on Wednesday.
"ShowCase is basically a big fair of music groups and people who would be interested in inviting these musicians to their own festivals," said Sudzina.
The event has attracted music journalists, promoters, jazz festival organizers and music agents from countries such as Japan, China, Indonesia, Egypt, Britain, Germany, Russia and Israel.
