HANOI, May 20 (Xinhua) -- China's Jiangsu club defeated the United States' BIP 3-2 on Sunday to finish first at an international women's volleyball tournament here in Vietnam's central Quang Nam province.
After losing the first two sets, Chinese players rallied to make tireless digging and tactful spikes to beat their American rivals, managing a 3-2 victory with the scores of 21-25, 21-25, 25-22, 25-17 and 15-6.
Crowned the champions, Jiangsu bagged home a cash prize of 15,000 U.S. dollars.
Also on Sunday, Vietnamese team VTV Binh Dien Long An finished third after holding off China's Fujian 3-0.
The tournament drew the participation of eight teams, including China's Jiangsu and Fujian, Thailand's Est Cola, Kazakhstan's Almaty, the United States' BIP, Vietnam's Thongtin Lienviet Post Bank, Vietinbank and VTV Binh Dien Long An.
