Uganda's KCCA FC defeat Egypt's Al Ahly in CAF Champions League tie

KAMPALA, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Uganda's KCCA FC on Tuesday defeated visiting Egyptian giants Al Ahly 2-0 in a Group A game in the 2018 Confederation of African Football Champions League.

The Ugandan Premier league defending champions scored in the second half to get three points at the Mandela National Stadium.

Midfielder Saddam Ibrahim Juma scored the first goal for KCCA FC after 73 minutes when youngster Allan Okello created a perfect cross.

With two minutes to full time KCCA FC got a penalty that skipper Rennis Timothy Awany converted. Elsayed Ayman brought down striker Derrick Nsibambi in the box.

Early in the first half Al Ahly also got a penalty after 22 minutes, but KCCA FC goalkeeper Charles Lukwago who was returning from suspension saved Walid Said Ebeid's shot.

Al Ahly coach Hossam El-Badry said he was disappointed with the result, and they were unlucky.

Mike Mutebi, KCCA FC coach said his team displayed tactical discipline.

KCCA FC who lost the first game 1-0 away to Township Rollers FC in Botswana have now collected three points, while Al Ahly only have one point after their goalless draw against Esperance in the opening game. Enditem
