MADRID, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Atletico Madrid are on the verge of selling Argentinean midfielder Nico Gaitan to Chinese SuperLeague club Dalian Yifang, according to reports in the Spanish Press.
The move would put an end to a disappointing spell from the 30-year-old at the club, where he has made less than 30 league appearances since joining from Portuguese side Benfica in the summer of 2016 in a deal worth over 25 million euros.
Spanish sports paper Marca reports that Dalian Yifang are willing to pay 18 million euros for the player, who is not in the plans of Atletico coach Diego Simeone since the Vitolo and Diego Costa became available in January.
