BEIJING, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Baidu Baike, the online encyclopedia of search engine Baidu, plans to help more than 400 Spanish museums go digital, allowing "visitors" access to the museums' collections online, the company announced at the Spanish Embassy to China Tuesday.

In December 2017, Baidu Baike and Gaudi Asia-Pacific launched the Gaudi digital museum, providing 360-degree views of Gaudi's most important works, his life story and 3D interactive displays.

In 2018, the two sides will work together again to establish digital museum of Camino de Santiago, a pilgrimage trail in northwestern Spain. It will give people everywhere a chance to enjoy views of the cities, churches, castles and items from the museums along the route.

The company also has an agreement with Museo Del Prado, one of the most greatest museums in the world.

"We are going to bring history to the people," said Shen Dou, vice president of Baidu.

Gloria Minguez, cultural counsellor with the Spanish Embassy to China, said that technology provides a whole new way for people to enjoy art.
