GAZA, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- A Palestinian volunteer paramedic was killed on Friday afternoon by Israeli gunfire east of Rafah town in the southern Gaza Strip.
Abdulla al-Qutatti, in his mid-20s, was shot in the chest as he was helping paramedics and rescue teams in the area, Ashraf al-Qedra, spokesman of the Gaza health ministry, told reporters.
Meanwhile, 84 Palestinians were injured, with 25 of them shot with live gunshots, and the others having suffered suffocation after inhaling tear gas during clashes with Israeli soldiers along the border, he added.
